ABOUT CUCV.ORG

This page is planned to be a place for local Fort Worth/Dallas Metroplex CUCV owners to share information about each other. Currently still under construction, the page will soon be ready to be a place for local DFW owners of the CUCV vehicles. You can email the site owner with your info, but right now I am looking into how to run the site. Likely will not be a forum board as we have Steel Soldiers to chat and post in forums. SO my plan is to just be a place to share images and info about local DFW owners.

Site owner contact: K9Vic (Username on Steel Soldiers)

Why do I say Fort Worth first?
A: Well I want to be different then the normal and we are in Fort Worth.

K9Vic (Gary) first got interested in the CUCV vehicles only a few years ago, but always loved old Chevy trucks. My first military vehicle was a CUCV M1010 Ambulance in November 2009 and still own this vehicle. This was my first jump into military Chevrolet vehicles, but have owned many older 73-87 body style pickups. A friend got me hooked on these CUCV trucks and in less then a year I have owned and sold about 6 trucks. I now currently have two M1009 and the M1010. I am on the hunt for a M1031 maintenance truck and may soon have one, or I hope I will soon have one. This can be an expensive hobby, but one that is very fun. I enjoy working on these older trucks and driving them. I use my M1009 as a daily driver and even take it off road at a local OHV park in Bridgeport. It really gets allot of attention at my 9-5 job, people always ask me about it. Plus all the people that stop you when you are out and about, I often get people asking questions. Yes even woman dig my truck, LOL!!!

Well anyways, I still working on this web site and will be a work in progress. Let me know if you have any ideas for the site, but there are no plans to run a forum board. This will simply be a place for DFW owners to share information on static site that would be easy to find and navagate.
